A Recap of Posts and Updates on Atlanta Coffee Shops in 2019
As the year is winding down, I wanted to say thank you for reading, following along on this blog, on Instagram, and for those of you I’ve met in person this year! It has been amazing visiting so many Atlanta coffee shops and profiling them for a wider audience.
I wanted to put together a brief recap of blog posts covering the Atlanta coffee shops that were published in 2019. The posts marked with an asterisk are of note, either because of extensive coverage (dozens of photos, interviews with the owners/founders) and/or for ACS’s view on the influence/significance of the coffee shop in the Atlanta area.

November & December
No blog posts related to Atlanta coffee shops were published the last two months of the year. ACS was on an extended trip to Japan majority of November; December was spent organizing some drafts that will be published in 2020. Stay tuned!
Odds & Ends
ACS also published several posts not related to Atlanta coffee shops. Notable highlights include: the visit to the Museum of Design Atlanta for the Passione Italiana: The Art of Espresso Exhibition, announcement of the Travel Edition of ACS, the first ACS travel feature post on Felix Roasting Co. in NYC, photos from the U.S. Coffee Championship Preliminaries at East Pole Coffee Co., a think piece on why Topo Chico is such a popular drink at coffee shops, brainstorming ACS Awards (these ultimately were not unveiled in 2019), and a tour of the coffee shop exteriors in Japan.
What was your favorite blog post or feature in 2019? Is there anything you’d like to see more or less of in the new year?
Final Highlights
There were numerous expansions to the web site and the ACS map throughout the year. There are several helpful resource pages that went live in 2019, including Atlanta coffee shops that are open late, pet-friendly Atlanta coffee shops, Atlanta coffee shops that are hiring, Atlanta coffee shops where you can find oat milk, and Atlanta coffee shops that are selling coffee equipment. ACS will work on expanding these pages and building more helpful ones in the new year. (Feel free to make a suggestion on what you’d find helpful!)
ACS also unveiled its first newsletter near the end of 2019. If you want to see a preview of the ACS newsletter, you can check it out here. If you want to sign up for the newsletter, you can do so below.
